What I am is someone who got genuinely obsessed with figuring this out. I’ve spent years reading everything I could find about hair, testing cuts and colors on myself, talking to stylists, and slowly building a real understanding of what works, what doesn’t, and why.
I grew up with hair that never behaved the way the magazine photos promised. Fine, a little wavy, a lot stubborn. I tried going short and hated it. I tried going long and couldn’t manage it. I tried balayage and loved it. I tried a blunt bob and cried in the car. I tried a curtain bang and finally felt like myself.
Every one of those experiences taught me something, and eventually I realized other women might find those lessons useful too.
That’s why Herbloomly exists. Not because I have a cosmetology license on the wall, but because I’ve stood exactly where you’re standing, in front of the mirror with a saved photo on my phone, no idea if it’ll actually work for me, and I’ve done the research so you don’t have to start from scratch.

And I revisit and update older articles when trends shift, new information changes my thinking, or a reader points out something that no longer holds up.
I’d rather give you honest information, including when a look is high maintenance or harder to pull off than it looks in photos, than a pretty article that leaves you disappointed in the salon chair.
